Sherman Quilt Guild

Founded in 1987

This Texoma guild was formed in September, 1987 with the mission to provide quilters an opportunity to socialize, learn and share their love of quilts. The club’s stated purpose was “to preserve the heritage of quilting, to be a source of information and inspiration, and to be a gathering place for people with a common interest. “
The guild meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at First United Methodist Church - Binkley Hall at 401 N. Elm in Sherman, Texas. Park is available in the lot across from the Finley Theater. The meeting room is accessed via the north door (click here for map).
The doors open between 6:15-6:30 to allow for a social period prior to the meeting start at 7 pm. A quilt related program is presented each month except for September (installation of officers) and December (Christmas Party). All members and visitors are welcome to present quilt related items during Show and Tell.   Visitors are always welcome.
Dues are $25 annually (October – September) and include a monthly newsletter and  access to the members only area of the website along with the closed Sherman Quilt Makers Members Facebook group.. Guests are welcome to attend two consecutive meetings at no charge.
